Haven't had enough practice to answer with intelligence.
The copy paste function should allow you to grab a word (or phrase)
and drop it in a note app, for later reference, pretty easily.

The whole touch pad thing takes some getting used to.
I'm finding use of a stylus handy for both drawing and
Reading with highlight and copy/paste functions;
also keeps the screen cleaner.
