Subject: [Leica] Leica R 35mm f1.4 - any good?

The best thing going for the pre-ASPH 35/1.4M lens is the size.  It is 
aboslutely tiny.   Wide open it does not compare to the SUmmicron of the 
same vintage.

If weight or size is no issue, then the ASPH lens is signifiacantly better, 
and the ASPH Summicron is a nice alternative to the weight vs max F-stop 
issue.

Of course, using any of these lenses in SLR mode is "difficult".....
