as a result Alice and I bought I-leicas today so that we can shoot hi grade 
when in Barcelona soon - hers is in a purple case, ever so lovely.

I was once talking to a commercial photographer who photographed nothing but 
flowers and did the most beautiful work.

"I wish I could take photos of my son," he said to me.

"Just do it the same way you photograph your flowers, it'll be wonderful," I 
suggested.

To this he replied, "Hang him upside down from a string in front of an 
octabox?"

And my understanding of photography expanded that day.
