About a full stop slower but at 21mm that doesn't make that much of a difference. The rendering of the SA is just amazing. Something in it that the ZM lacks maybe. I've been using the ZM for about 18 months now and while I love the focal length, the lens doesn't do something, but I'm not sure what. What it DOES do is definitely stick into the viewfinder at the bottom of the field of view. That's annoying. It renders great but I think it just might be time for me to move to what I regard as a better lens. (and I talk the 21mm ZM up till the cows come home. It's awesome.) Since I got the chance to use the 21mm SA though, I really loved the way it made an image. It's like an inspiration or something that I don't find with my ZM 21mm.
