Or ... run Windows in VMWare Workstation under Linux or MacOS. Then
you can take "snapshots" of working machines. When your windows bombs
out or gets too sluggish, but back up to a snapshot. That way you
don't have to reinstall everything, just the things you need since the
last "snapshot".
