Hi Jim,

I remember them well from the early sixties, my dad 
used to play merry hell with me when I was playing with 
my train set when he wanted to watch sport on the TV at 
weekends.

I just thought, though, it may not be a problem with 
the sensor itself, more likely to be some part of the 
electronics resonating at a certain frequency, some 
kind of signal converter, perhaps. Was the humidity 
high when the striped shots were captured?
