Dpreview has some samples taken with the current 'pre-production' 
model which look very promising. It looks like image quality is right 
up there with the best of the APS-C DSLR's.

The main question now is whether the focussing and general 
responsiveness is OK. It will have contrast detect AF, which many 
manufacturers have struggled with (Sigma and Leica come readily to 
mind), and with which only Panasonic has really come to grips with. 
On the other hand, a fast lens such as the 23/2 should be able to do 
decently.

Basically, it's an APS-C P&S with a good viewfinder, so for it to 
work well it has to be a good P&S. We'll see.
