I guess the limited edition Hermes leather wrapped versions, $50 battery covers with slots, etc were insufficient to make a profit on.... It is metal, if that makes a difference to you.... IMO, an unjustifiable price. Ditto the battery cover, even without the slot. It was said that to buy all the spare parts to put together a US made car, would cost 3x the price of the assembled production car..... I wonder what the Leica factor would be?
