Ted - I have a colleague who has done this a couple of times, lecturing on 
astronomy.  He (and his wife) had a ball.  However, there were restrictions 
regarding when and where he and she ate, limits on cabin choice,* and rules 
limiting fraternization with the paying guests.  

Best to check on the fine print before signing up.  

Make sure you're going someplace warm, too.
