I recently got an R5 and an 80/1.4 (again). The R5 doesn't help much
- the viewfinder on the R8/9/DMR is brighter, bigger and snaps into
focus better - but yes, focusing that thing is hard. These:
http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/freakscene/Rachel/ were shot with a
Nikon 85/1.4 and a Leica 80/1.4 (about half and half - with an Re for
the Leica and an FA and an F100 for the Nikkor). But there are plenty
of frames on the 5 or so rolls I shot of Rachel that day where the
focus isn't right. I used f1.4 because we were in my old house using
window light because it was 5C and raining outside. Sometimes you use
what you have, and get what you get.
