Simple measurement with a ruler shows that the film strip is full 35 mm
width. So it is unlikely that a row of sprocket holes was cut off. The LTM
Leicas had a film frame counting sprocket with teeth on top and bottom. The
film strip shows no indentations on the blank side. Copying cameras were
designed to use both single sprocketed and unsprocketed film. The only
parsimonious conclusion is that the HCB film strip is a copy of the original
negative.
