I'm not saying the lens is sharp, but it works fine for the price I  
paid - zip as it was offered with the body at the price of the body or  
so
Mark lusts for a lens he says he can't afford yet; that's a cheap  
compromise but none of my business I agree.

Sharpness of this shot : maybe it's just that light bringing contrast  
on the weathered face after all?

I find zooms used to be necessary when shooting slides ;-)
Now I could just crop.
OTT: My Angenieux's performed better than most prime lenses of the  
time too.
Travelling lighter is another side of the story; bad back, cabin  
luggage, fumbling in the bag and all.
