Hello Luggers,
We  were patrolling in the afternoon and came across this pair of  
lions resting in the shade:

He gave her a little lick - a lion kiss:

The lioness replied with a growl - again photo by Esther.

Kalyan explained that when lions are mating they may couple fifty or  
sixty times in a day - until the female is impregnated. So that may  
help explain while a single congress is so short.
The lion's penis is covered with bumps which, raking the lioness's  
vagina, causes her to ovulate (so Wikipedia informs me).
