My wife and I used one of the first macs for both business and personal - an
SE-30 with a whopping 128K of memory and a 30 mb hd. Wow.

I remember my wife (who at the time worked as an Analyst for XEROX Business
Systems Group - not the copier people) saying, "we have to get our work
done; let's buy a Mac".

But it did the job and never, ever broke, nor did any of the subsequent Macs
and MacBooks. One virus in 20 years that was expunged at the local Apple
Dealer in 20 minutes.

We toughed it out with Apple during the Scully years (Pepsico Exec becomes
Apple CEO; Really???) but we never looked back once we started using Macs.

Being WINdowless all those years never kept us from doing any work that
needed to be done and in some cases propelled us a little further.

The media will use better words than I to describe Steve's impact on the
world of personal communications.

But he definitely had a positive impact on our household. I can only hope
his doppelg?nger haunts the hallways and meeting rooms in Cupertino, and
that good-looking, innovative and reliable Apple products continue to be
built to Steve's standards.

Oh - my iPhone 4 is on the table next to the MacBook Pro used to type this
email, so?..

NOT sent from my iPhone 4

Cheers to all.
