I sold most of mine cheap to a worthy LUG M8 photog and gave away my last
one (with damaged rim).
Definitely not recommended to leave them on for wides.
You might consider keeping one for very occasional use. IR is not 100%
filtered with the M9 which I guess is actually the case with most (all?)
dSLRs too.
