Indeed; the 70 is amazing - just not very 'normal' - as are all the S2
lenses I have seen. At that price and size point, Leica's designers
had some pretty luxurious room to move in terms of materials and
construction.

I haven't seen any of the CS lenses, but not being a studio or flash
user, if I ever decided I needed an S2 I would just get the regular
lenses anyway. I wonder if the leaf shutter lengthens the shutter
lag?

I imagine all the wides for the S2 would cause quite a bit of angst
during design - meeting Leica's performance targets can't be easy.
