Subject: [Leica] M9 firmware update

Although I don't really think I need the latest update (I haven't had
an SD card problem) there is one thing about the instructions that
bothers me. It states that doing an update resets many things, in
particular the DNG file numbers. Since LR claims that it does not
import duplicates, presumably based on file numbers, one would think
that this would prevent new pictures with an old file number from
being imported.

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I did one firmware update some
months ago, and haven't had any LR problems. Can anyone enlighten me.
