A very nice photo. The shoe in the foreground is what makes the photo for 
me. 

I often see abandoned houses, particularly on the Eastern Shore of the 
Chesapeake Bay. I almost always wonder what happened to the owners. 

Around here I think that the story is often that the families relied on 
fishing, crabbing, and oystering on the bay to make a living. The Bay is now 
both over fished and over polluted. It's very hard for the Watermen and 
women to make a living.
