Doug- I agree with the viewfinders on the R8 and R9 as being excellent. Also 
I enjoy manual focus for its accuracy and ability of creating exactly what 
you strive for in an image. All this auto stuff gets to be boring and not as 
satisfying- and in certain cases does not get the desired result.  My $0.02.
