Some explanation may be in order: what I have not mentioned to the group, until now, is that I made a serious error during the book?s assembly. Rather than use the standard landscape format, I inadvertently left the default format checked, which is the 7x7 square book. I only noticed the error on December 29th, but quickly realized that the smaller, square format was not appropriate for the quality of images we collect. Blurb said not to worry; their software allowed me to switch formats in mid-book. Unfortunately, I?d been assembling the book with last year?s software, which is not compatible with the format switch option. That meant that I had to reassemble the book from scratch, which took the better part of a day. I thought that everything was corrected, but unfortunately I?d made a mistake with one image (when you load an image into the blurb templates, it automatically sizes to fill the template area, and thus will crop part of the picture. I almost always correct this, to protect the integrity of the original image, but in this one case during the reload I goofed.) Glad to hear that the book?s meeting with considerable enthusiasm.
