Emmanuel, et al. I must disagree. Sure, war photos may not have stopped
George W. Bush to go to Afghanistan and Iraq, or Putin is try to bomb
Chechen to Stone Age etc., but we as individual and collective can try to
effect changes. Without the war photos, we would not know the horror of the
wars.
Bourke-White's photos are in fact the prime example. The Nazi apologists
cannot deny that such acts of evil were done, even if they try, for as long
as such records exist.
