No backups during that year?? What does the LH drive do? Take it out and do
weekly TimeMachine backup to a HDD on that port (then remove it)....

A monitor will take no resources from your laptop

On my macbook pro 13 inch on either side I have a WD 1T hard drive.
Soon I will replace the one on my right with a WD 2T hard drive for Mac as
its a bit filled up and its time for a backup. Its been a year. Loosing a
years work you can imagine would not go down well.

I have just read that usb takes processing power and that's not good.
If I get a separate monitor is this going all add up to a bad deal?
Plaid shapes appearing on my screen?
