I don't know how you folks made your prints in the old darkroom days? But 
for years I always burnt in the corners and sides and across the bottom for 
a slight bit to add an emphasis to the centre.

I never saw the Nocti effect as a problem with a slight darkening of the 
corners as a problem.

I've always... well in most cases quite frankly, saw the slight darkening as 
a "bonus!" Saved me doing it in the darkroom. :-)

And when I use it on my M8 I never think about it nor do I even bother 
looking for it. :-)

I suppose it's.... "to each his own!" ;-)
