I have a v4 Noctilux f1.0 and the 50mm Summilux asph.

For me the asph is the best lens, only one I would take going somewhere new
or to a rare event. However on the trek to/from work and around town on a
normal day I am more likely to "make" a photo with the Noctilux. All photos
on http://www.johnmcmaster.com/PAW/2012/01 were the Noctilux wide open (or
close) with an ND8, I do not think many of those would look as "interesting"
taken with the asph.....

I have no fight in this, but a small number of luggers have both the 50'lux
ASPH and a Noctilux.

Judging from my own preference, the ASPH 'lux comes out just about every
single time when I use a 50. Like I said, if my Notic-wanna-be, the Nokton
1.1, isn't so inexpensive by Leica standard, I wouldn't have gotten it.

So any owner of both lens actually use the Nocti as often or more often
than the 'lux ASPH?

I know a number of you have many 50mm lens. Not sure exactly how to count
those uses..
