Ric, Robert, Mark, Richard,

thank you for the tips and advice.  I am very non-techie, so it will  
take me ages to digest this and think about what to do.  Maybe I'll  
let my new drive sit around unused for a few weeks or a couple of  
months, and then give it a go reading your replies.

It's so busy here now, I'm getting married in early March and have 11  
family members and a best man coming to stay with us for two weeks  
from late February.  Maybe my best man can help me with the new hard  
drive so I don't lose my Lightroom catalog.
