Mark,

For $70 (single monitor) to $110 (multiple monitors) you can get the 
Spyder3 and software from B&H.  If you don't like the DataColor software 
you can get better software from ColorEyes.  Or you can buy the 
Spyder3/ColorEyes software bundle for $300.  This is what I have and it 
works fine.
