I had one of these lenses and despite having it tweaked by Schmidt, the local Leica repair station, and then by an independent repair person - the lens seemed to lose focus accuracy in the middle distance range - which was very frustrating. I finally sold it a couple of years ago (for about US$1,500) and kept my 90mm Elmarit which has no problems at all and which cuts very pleasing images on my M8. If memory serves, I think Henning may have had similar problems. Cheers Howard
