Visitng my Leica dealer I met another M shooter I know. Today he was with
Eric Owen, a local camera repairer specialising in mechanical medium
format equipment and the inventor of the "Bendy Blad" My friend is now the
owner of the last one ever to be made. I understand that there are a couple
of dozen of these scattered around the world.
This is a Hasselblad Flex body with a custom made attachment that provides
full rise/fall/tilt/shift etc in a body that can be used with his PhaseOne
digital back! So really a view camera in a tiny package. Gorgeous gadget
and showing superb craftmanship. The book underneath contains amazing
photos from Stavros Pippos, a South Australian landscape photographer. Wide
open lens and DoF from closest flower petal at the extreme corners to
minute detail on the horizon. Amazing.
