Mark, I'm a veteran of many years of first film production, then Video.

I shot the first minicam in New Orleans broadcast TV.

I kinda know what I'm talking about here.

They are professionals because they take money for what they do.

It is ridiculous to eschew using a proper tool just because an improper
tool can be configured to kinda do the same thing.

It is ass hat production to do what they are doing.  It tells me they
really don't know what they are doing.

Sure, a slick guy can talk money people into anything, but there are so
many better choices in equipment, many of them cheaper to configure.

If they were using a proper camera, they would have time code, hot swap
batteries, and much better real time monitors.

Just stupid show-offs.
