Yes, very much worth remembering. 

Today also happens to be the 8th anniversary of the Islamic terrorist attack 
on Atocha station in Madrid, killing 191 people. It is a traumatic event 
here, in a completely different league than ETA terrorism, and is widely 
commemorated. Spanish labour unions have scored a major own goal by holding 
rallies protesting the new government's labour market reforms today (I did 
go downtown to photograph the demo in Alicante, pictures later).
