My first message was sent on Tuesday, 7 April 1992 at 17:31 GMT

The reply came from Dyer Lytle at NOAO Tucson, 25 minutes later at 17:56 GMT

On 7 April 1992 the daylight/standard time changes had completed in every 
country that participated, so the northern hemisphere was in daylight time 
and the southern hemisphere was not.
