We hope that family and friends are all together to support each other at this difficult time. I don't normally post personal messages to the whole list but I hope this might be appropriate here. When we visited San Francisco in December 2008 we were thrilled to learn that you were flying down to share the LUG dinner with us and we remember very fondly our family enjoying a wonderful evening with you both on the previous day as well. In Irene we saw a wonderful, warm lady with gentle dignity, clear and kind heart and a sparkle in her eyes. Not to mention a perfect partner keeping you on the straight and narrow.
