If you will be using the tripod exclusively with a long lens that has a
rotating tripod collar I suggest the Acratech long-lens head:

Compact, light weight, sturdy enough for my 560mm Novoflex/Telyt, no
extraneous features, locks down solid when you need it, pans/tilts smoothly
when you need it.  And I prefer an Arca-type QR.
