Tina,

This works as a photograph for me. I think that the key is what you,  
as the artist who created it, want to communicate. The lighting puts  
a lot of emphasis on her dress. To my eye it this photo has a lot to  
say about the dress and the person who is wearing it. It points to a  
story about the relation between the woman and the dress which I find  
interesting. If you want it to be a conventional portrait then things  
may be a quite different question.
