Subject: [Leica] M wrist strap connection: eyelet or baseplate?

Hi Lew,

I have one of the straps that attaches to the baseplate. I purchased it
because the eyelet attachment to the body on one of my Barnack Leicas
rotates, and I was afraid to trust it to stay attached. I found it to be
rather awkward in use, and put it aside.
