Thanks. The Nikon D800E should be in my hands by the 25th of this month or
thereabouts. I would guess that the low light performance will be very
similar to the Nikon D7000, because the pixel pitch of both sensors is
identical - maybe you will get half a stop extra. My impression is that if
you use the D800E in DX mode, you virtually end up with a D7000 at 15.5 mp!
My problem using a D700 and a D7000 is that the controls are in different
places, making the D7000 a bit non intuitive to use, which the D800 should
put right.
