Hello Luggers,Dusk was creeping in over Lake Mayer (early April) and I saw
this bird obviously eager to be on my picture. Is this a grey heron?

If this is Lake Mayer in Savannah Georgia it's very unlikley it's a Grey
Heron (Ardea cinerea), which is typically a eurasian species. If the
coloration is similar to the Grey Heron, it's most likely a Great Blue
Heron (Ardea herodias), or if it's a white bird (can't tell from this
photo) it's most likely a Great Egret (Ardea alba).
