That's how I shoot.
With the camera in my hand not dangling underneath it.
I realize its the way most cameras with added vertical grips are designed
its just not obvious to me that's all.
I think you camera is in your hand not your hand is in your camera.

I read a thing on it in  a Pop Photo year ago and I think it said its almost
50 50.
40 60 not in my favour.
