7/11/12, 4:39:58 PM, Soho facade, 80.0-200.0 mm f/4.5-5.6 Nikkor

This is a real lightweight zoom about Nikons lightest.
To an old timer such as myself when I think zoom I think 80-200mm. The
others are upstarts not to be trusted.
This is a compact light one they made a few decades ago then stopped.
It got too easy and non competitive for them to do this. They had to move on
to the 70-300's which were dumb and heavy and I got one and rarely feel like
walking around with it. It's an ED.

This 80.0-200.0 mm f/4.5-5.6 Nikkor could focus a bit closer for my taste.
But's 332.85 grams, 11.7 oz's, .7 of a pound. 3 oz's lighter than my 80mm
1.8 Nikkor D AF.
I got it around 2004 for less than a hundred bucks used from Pro Photo in
Portland Oregon.

This shot I'm please by the way it all came together. And it appears to be
sharper than heck. (Sorry Erwin!)

Fire escapes in Soho are for sure a clich?. But I think if you do a real
good job you're off the hook a bit.
