We were having a discussion here recently about some of the color
pioneers.
I ran across this today: a NYT piece and slide show with some
recently-discovered color photos by Gordon Parks taken in the 1950s.

I've only known his work in b/w and was impressed with his tasteful use of
colors here. Source images are MF transparencies for a story for Life
mag.
