I was thinking of buying one of the old z series laptops when they were
current. The new second generation z-series have lost the built-in optical
disc drive and require a 1+ lb dock in order to have USB3, optical drive,
etc. This puts the total system weight over 4 pounds, about the same as
their lower priced S series models. Why Sony did this is beyond me.

So can my Sony Vaio Z series ( 1.2kg, full featured), but for the life of me
I cannot calibrate the screen...
Cheers
