If you go back to the origins of this thread the request was about software to look at Leica DNG images (I assume) and upload JPEGs (I assume) to the Internet when away from home and what software existed for an iPad to do that. We all know that there is plenty of choice from different manufacturers for software for Mac/Windows netbooks/ultrabooks/laptops/desktops/servers but what can work on an iPad? " The question is: if you were only going to have access to an iPad (in this case, an iPad2) for a couple of weeks, expected to take a lot of pictures, and wanted to do some editing and uploading to the web, what would be your editing app or choice? Snapseed? iPhoto? Revel? I'm just talking about deleting a bunch of valid images while sitting at a sidewalk caf? zipping through the images on a little hand held screen. A darned shame if you ask me. I'd do most of the editing where you can concentrate and have a better viewing experience. Certainly I've sat on the subway or bus and deleted some images off a card by looking at them in the back of my camera. Zooming in to see if they're soft. If there's any question I'd leave it on the card and wait till I can later see it better. Also when I'm going through them here I can delete the total bloopers but the important thing is to RATE them. One to five stars. The five starred ones with a yellow tag are the ones you'd see on my Lug gallery and maybe some other places. Even my 5x7 print box in my side bag. My Friday flower I posted yesterday was a sleeper. Though I shot plenty of flowers in the past weeks none of them did much for me. I spent some real time assessing them last night. After a half hour of looking through all my 2012 keyworded "Flowers" shots I found the shot I ran which was shot in mid March at 6 AM. It only had 3 stars on it before! That I call a sleeper as I'm super happy about the way its looking on the LUG gallery right now etc. a shot which I didn't even know for five months was there. 17 people have seen it and its not been up more than 24 hours I call that pretty good. A huge most valued part of ones photo work flo is taking the time to see what you've got. Rating and keywording them with a lot of consideration. I'm betting that its not all that uncommon just like in the days of slides in yellow boxes which get put in the closet; of people who can't be bothered with their output. Pictures are fun! Sure cameras are fun but pictures are funner.
