Subject: [Leica] Is my M6 a 0.85 VF?

Peter,

It is most likely a standard vf, as the 0.85 vf's have 0.85 marked in the
lower right hand corner of the vf when looking at it from the front. Also
you will not have the 135 frame lines.

Cheers,
Gene

Subject: [Leica] Is my M6 a 0.85 VF?

I'm selling my M6 on a Japanese auction site, and I advertised it as a
0.85 VF. Some asked me if it really is 0.85. I always thought it was,
but now have to confirm it.

It says Ernst Leitz Wetlar GMBH on the top plate (left), has Leica M6
on the front, and the red dot says Leitz. The s/n is 1679384.

Help appreciated. I'm having to sell camera gear I don't use
regularly, because I'm between jobs and will be without salary for two
months.

All the best,

Peter Cheyne

P.S. The camera is here, maybe photos of it can help identification:
