Again a wonderfull picture Jim.
Maybe he just discovered you simply forgot to refill his feeder.
I think that mean look may simply be for you and not for the others.
I had the same experience with a blackbird in our garden on the
seaside where there is less food to find, especially during winter.
In this country female blackbirds usually migrate to the south. Males
don't to protect their territory.

In case of this Cardinal If I where you I would hurry, he's waiting.
I also admire the results with the Leica (R or Visoflex?) lens and extender.
