Mark,

I sometimes shoot with my first digital purchase, a Fujifilm F10, which only 
produces jpeg images.  I use the "Open As" command when I pull them up in 
PSE 11, which allows me to open them in ACR.  There are enough tools 
available to make any necessary changes.
