Subject: [Leica] PESO: Fuji high ISO / thanks, Rabs!

Mark Rabiner and I often disagree about things; however, the tip he posted
the other day about setting shutter speed and aperture manually and let auto
ISO take care of the rest was a stroke of genius. As Dick subsequently
pointed out, there is no way to change the X-Pro 1 default minimum speed of
1/30 sec. (when shooting in aperture priority, as I usually do). So, last
night we went to a friend's birthday party, and I set the camera at f2.8 and
1/250, later lowering to 1/60 as the lights were turned down. The two images
are rather indifferent content-wise, but they do illustrate the wisdom of
the technique and the high-ISO capabilities of the Fuji:

ISO 5000 at 1/250:

ISO 6400 at 1/60:

Pretty damn good, I'd say.

Cheers,
Nathan
