That's what I thought.

While I truly appreciate all that you say in "defense" of Leica;
you must also understand how silly some of it sounds
when you've never even used a serious, digital Leica camera body;
(other than the Digilux 1 - a total toy camera - which I also owned);
while, at the same time, many of us have used the serious digital Leica
cameras
for 10's of thousands of exposures over many years.

In other words we're speaking from actual experience with the cameras;
whether we"re expressing frustration or, more often, appreciation.

And the same can be said of the those expressing appreciation for Fuji (or
any other) cameras.
They're speaking from actual experience with the hardware, software and
files;
while you refer to them as toy cameras - having never worked with them at
all.

As far as I can recall you've had experience with 3 Nikon digital camera
models.
Two of those used severely cropped sensors and one, your D700, uses a
so-called full frame sensor;
which at this point in digital history, as you're fond of pointing out
regarding other makes of camera
is discontinued - no longer made, etc.

I say this with the utmost respect for much of what you have to say
about process, history, aesthetics, etc.;
and serious appreciation for many of your photographs;

Fond regards,
George
