In the mid-70's, I pored over Modern Photography, Popular Photography, and 
Peterson's Photography while waiting for procedures to complete in the lab 
(grad student then). And like children in Lake Wobegone, all reviews of 
equipment were above average. Today, the UK magazines seem to be more honest 
and accurate, but it costs a bundle for postage to subscribe to them. So I 
surf the web...
