My whole farm is planted in corn on contract to Jack Daniels which is 32
miles from me.

 PESO:

Our latest harvest on the farm today was 4 bushels of field corn. This is a
dent corn that we plan to make into cornmeal:

The other corn is Floriana Red Flint, an Italian corn used to make polenta,
which is what I will do with it!

All from heirloom seeds, non-GMO ;-)

C&C greatly appreciated.

In 2007 NY passed a law creating a new class of ?Farm Distilleries.? This
law supports the centuries old New York tradition of agricultural craft
wines and spirits. In the pre-Prohibition era, hundreds of small stills
dotted the landscape, offering farmers a convenient way to market locally
grown fruits and produce. Distilleries are limited in production and the
product must contain a minimum of 75% NY raw agricultural material. The new
law permits tasting and retail sales on site. The base product is distilled
from either grain or apples. Local farmers have been induced to grow special
heirloom corn that is used to make the product. If your state has a similar
law you might be able to find a local moonshiner that can process your corn
into a potable product. I'm sure any visiting LUG members would hep you
consume it.
