With the baseball post-season in full swing here (ahem) it's fun to see the passions of another sport in another time. There's a group who play cricket many Saturdays and Sundays in Davis. Almost all from India. I've stopped and instantly been greeted and treated to more information about the game than I was prepared for! But I like the passion, the men all in white, those not on the field in the shadows of the trees surrounding the park. I gather there are teams in West Sacramento, Sacramento and other Central Valley towns in the area plus, of course, the Bay Area. This may have been "off topic" but I found it completely appropriate to what makes this list so enjoyable.
